Overview
One Tree Point Lookout and Picnic Area is a highlight of Tuross Head, a picturesque coastal village on the Eurobodalla South Coast, perched on a low headland between Tuross Lake and Coila Lake. Norfolk Island Pines stand tall and elegant above superb beaches along the peninsula.
At the southern end of One Tree Beach and just north of Main Beach, the picnic area is a popular spot with barbecues, a cycle path and car parking.
A short pathway from the car park leads to One Tree Point Lookout, named for the lone Norfolk Island Pine standing on the point. The large viewing platform offers expansive coastal views and is a good land-based vantage point for whale watching in spring.
Dogs are prohibited at One Tree Main Beach, and allowed on a time-share basis at One Tree Beach North (before 9am and after 5pm from 1 November to 30 April, and at any time from 1 May to 31 October).
