In the Frame - Pamela Priday

Dungog by Design presents a collection of works by artist Pamela Priday for August.

Paw Traits art explores the similarities between the qualities of cats and those often attributed to artists.

The inspiration for this exhibition comes from Pamela's first encounter with a cat.

As a small, frightened child recovering in hospital she found comfort and calm in the companionship of the hospital cat "Snookums". Although their time together was brief, her fascination with cats has endured ever since.

While creating these works, shared traits emerged: curiosity, playfulness, independence, a love of freedom, and a preference for quiet solitude. These qualities shape both feline behaviour and Pamela's artistic practice.

Through Paw Traits she celebrates the beauty, grace, character, and mystery of her feline companions.
