Honk! Oz - Street Music Festival

Event dates to be confirmed: January 2019

Honk! Oz Fest is three days of revelry in Wollongong, featuring acoustic, mobile and somewhat eccentric street bands. Think Mardi Gras and Carnival. Blaring brass and drums. A parade. Outdoor jam sessions. New Orleans, Gypsy, Klezmer, funk, folk and jazz all fused together for a sensation for the ears and eyes.

Honk! Oz is a not for profit community driven festival made possible by the incredible energy and enthusiasm of the local Wollongong community and in particular the members of the Illawarra Folk Club and The Con Artists Community Music Band.

Musicians will travel from all corners of Australia and possibly the world to play at Honk! Oz. The festival is a fringe event of the Illawarra Folk Festival and presented by the Illawarra Folk Club.
