Numeralla was settled in the 1860s and proclaimed as a village in 1885. Located on the banks of Numeralla River, the small town is a popular spot with anglers and once a site for gold mining.
Follow the signs to nearby Wadbillaga National Park and the popular Cascades camping and picnic area. There is an easy return 20 minute walk to Cascade Falls and a longer two hour return to Tuross Falls.
Numeralla holds a Folk Festival in January each year. The closest services are in the town of Cooma, 23 kilometres west.
There is a nice overnight camping and day parking / picnic spot at the Badja Reserve with toilets.
