Undercliff Winery was established as a mixed farm in 1846. In 1990, vineyards were planted with Semillon and Shiraz, varieties having a long successful association with the region. More recently Chardonnay, Chambourcin and Muscat have been planted.

The original house built of timber in 1847 (now operating as a bed and breakfast) has been joined by a small winery carefully designed and constructed to compliment the heritage value of the area.

As well as operating as a winery, the building is a gallery for watercolours by Helen Fitzgerald and oil paintings by local artists.
