Join in for the 2024 Grossmann Lecture featuring Dr. Peter Hobbins, Head of Knowledge at the Australian National Maritime Museum.

During the lecutre Dr. Hobbins will delve into the intriguing theme: "Maitland under attack? Defending the Hunter region in World War II" to explore the possibility of Maitland facing wartime threats, the preparedness of the region, and its position within the broader context of national and imperial defense. From naval and aerial attacks to the challenges of toxic gases and warship broadsides, this presentation promises to be enlightening.
