Water-based activities are a focal point of the bustling country town of Mulwala, located three hours from Melbourne. Enjoy popular activities including boating, waterskiing, kayaking, windsurfing and stand-up paddleboarding. They offer lessons for beginners and competitions for experts. Board a paddle steamer cruise or try out a barbeque boat with friends and family. Book a guided fishing tour with experts or set up camp along the banks with your fishing gear to catch the famed Murray Cod.

Both sides of the lake have attractive foreshores that provide a year-round recreation area, including picnic and barbecue facilities, walking tracks, waterslides, playgrounds, a skate park, swimming pools and a splash park.
