As the symbolic home of Australia’s iconic ute, Deni has done more than anywhere else to celebrate this wonder of automotive usefulness. Rightfully earning the title of “Ute capital of the world” – and even have a public art sculpture to prove it!

Reutilise, by award-winning local artist Stuart Taylor, is a life-size Holden ute made from metal objects found on farms in the area around Deniliquin. It’s a homage to utes everywhere, and a celebration of the ingenuity of farmers and regional people across Australia. The sculpture can be found near the Peppin Heritage Centre in George Street, Deniliquin.

The Reutilise sculpture is Stuart’s largest piece of work and highlights his signature style of repurposed scrap metal.

Reutilise is part of The Long Paddock’s iconic ARTback outdoor sculpture series, which are located across the touring route from Moama to Wilcannia.
