Starting life in 1909 as the Imperial Hotel, the Thunderbolt Inn is an historic Victorian style hotel situated in the centre of Uralla, at the corner of the New England Highway and Thunderbolt's Way.
The hotel was named the Thunderbolt Inn in 1970, on the anniversary of the death of the gentleman bushranger, Captain Thunderbolt, who ruled the highways and byways of the New England district during the 1860s. In 2022 it was shortened to The Bolt Inn.
Great meals are served daily and the dining room is open seven days for lunch and dinner. In winter, the roaring fires create a warm homely atmosphere. Clean comfortable accommodation is also available, including rooms with en suites.
