A poetic lyricist, Sydney singer-songwriter Mark Wilkinson‘s soulful brand of Indie Folk has drawn comparisons to artists like Damien Rice, Ray LaMontagne and David Gray. For over a decade, he’s been forging profound and enduring connections with listeners in the studio, on the stage, and even in the streets, where impromptu busking sessions landed him both a national Television booking and a major licensing deal. A magnetic live performer, Wilkinson has sold more than 80,000 copies of his self-released CDs, racked up over 100 million streams on Spotify, and built up a devoted global audience.

2024 sees Mark embark on an extensive run of dates across Australia in support of his new Album “Golden Afternoons”. [Nettwerk Music Group] Recorded in Nashville alongside producer Owen Lewis (Snow Patrol, Paris Paloma, Old Sea Brigade), the 7 track record is an emotive and powerful collection of songs that document his flux between contesting emotional states.

“The album explores the fine line between light and dark as well as confidence and uncertainty, which are the two states I’m constantly between as an artist and songwriter. Each song touches on these themes as they float through this body of work. It’s a reflection of the balancing act.”
