The Beehive Hotel, formerly known as the Coolac Hotel, is a circa 1862 hotel with plenty of character. The hotel has a fully functional bar with five beers on tap. They have recently added a beautiful coffee shop, Cafe 303, offering barista coffee and tempting snacks. There is a beer garden and large verandas which add to the country pub atmosphere. It was a popular haunt for the poet Henry Lawson.
The hotel is situated in the village of Coolac, halfway between Sydney and Melbourne on the Hume Highway.
Free camping is available out the back at the manager's discretion .
