The Central West of New South Wales boasts some of the darkest skies in Australia, and as such it is a wonderful place to appreciate the wonders of the night sky.
In an effort to foster, encourage and promote astronomy in the region, the Central West Astronomical Society holds its annual festival of astronomy, or AstroFest, each July.
The festival endeavours to bring to the people of the Central West world renowned astronomers, both professional and amateur, so they may share their enthusiasm and love of the heavens.

Caters for people with sufficient mobility to climb a few steps but who would benefit from fixtures to aid balance. (This includes people using walking frames and mobility aids)
