David Brown is a local farmer and has a keen eye for capturing “living on the land” in just one photo. Be it the sunrise, sunset, bringing in the sheep or just out on the harvester David through his images helps us to see the beauty around him as a farmer. We can be too busy to notice the play of the light on the wheat stalks or the colours of the clouds when it’s about to rain. David has been able to capture these and enables the viewer to appreciate the common but beautiful things through his lens.

Susan Hodge loves life, colour, and perspective. Her paintings capture living in regional NSW. Sue grew up near Grenfell and loves small town community and activities. Her paintings are often of iconic buildings in small towns, but she also loves things like the simple sheep or woolshed. Sue’s painting’s tell stories of rural life using a quirky perspective style and lots of bold colours. She wants her paintings to communicate joy and life lived to the full.

David and Sue grew up as best friends in the Grenfell area and feel privileged and excited to combine their talents and present to you this Exhibition. We hope all who view it will come away with a deeper appreciation for Living on the Land.
