Located 15 kilometres south of Bathurst on a rural property fronting the Queen Charlotte's Vale Creek, the vineyard and winery were set up in 2002 to produce ultra-premium wines from cool climate Italian grape varieties.
The first vines to go in at Vale Creek were dolcetto and barbera in 2002; arneis was planted in 2003; sangiovese and more dolcetto in 2004; and pinot grigio in 2005.
This winery and cellar door has brought the best of Italy to the region’s doorstep yet managed to retain a quintessentially Australian character. Drop into Vale Creek on your way to the heritage town of Rockley.
