Convenient camping is offered in their village, located two hours away from Sydney. Tarana, positioned 30 minutes to the west of Lithgow and 30 minutes to the east of Bathurst, nestles within the picturesque Tarana Valley.

With a generous one-acre camping area, guests have ample space to set up one or two tents anywhere across the field. Alternatively, a self-contained caravan is best parked near the road.

This oasis welcomes all without disruptions, offering a gently sloping paddock with stunning valley views. Campfires are permitted from April to October, and drinking water is conveniently accessible near the vegetable garden. Campers are kindly asked to be self-sufficient, including providing their own toilet facilities, and to take all rubbish away for disposal near the Fire shed down the road.

Activities abound, from birdwatching and train spotting to cow viewing. On clear nights, the starry sky offers exceptional stargazing opportunities, with the backdrop of the Main Western rail line to complete the experience.

Visitors will find themselves within walking distance of the Tarana Hotel, Mamma Snows Cafe, and the Railway Station.

This is a hosted stay through Hipcamp.
