Platypus Lodge Thalgarrah

This is a hosted stay through Hipcamp, below is the information provided by the Host regarding their offering.

Platypus Lodge is a purpose built hut made from convict cut slabs with corrugated tin built beside the river.

It is approximately six metres wide with a Raeburn stove in one corner, a Queen bed, a Single bed and room for a swag or we can put a camp bed for you.

The cabin also has a kitchen sink, bench, table with bar stools, sofa and arm chairs. There is a separate with a gas hot water system, shower, hand basin and an eco toilet. The veranda has a large kitchen table and benches looking out over the river.

Outside of the hut you will find a larger fire pit with logs to sit on and enjoy the view. We will supply a small amount of firewood to get you started but please bring your own to make the most of the fire pit. The hut is accessed across the paddocks so a 4WD or at least a AWD is recommended.
