Dr. Deborah Hart ist Chefkuratorin für australische Kunst an der National Gallery of Australia. Sie ist eine erfahrene Kuratorin und vielfach publizierte Kunsthistorikerin. Seit ihrer Ernennung zur Chefkuratorin für australische Kunst im Jahr 2000 hat Hart zahlreiche Ausstellungen kuratiert, darunter „Joy Hester and friends“ „Grace Cossington Smith: a retrospective“ „Andy and Oz: parallel visions“ (ausgestellt im Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh) „Fred Williams: infinite horizons“ „Arthur Boyd: Agony & ecstasy“ sowie „Hugh Ramsay and Ethel Carrick“. Sie war Co-Kuratorin bedeutender Ausstellungen wie „Know My Name: Australian Women Artists 1900 to Now“ und „Know My Name: Making it Modern“. Derzeit kuratiert sie eine große Retrospektive zu Rosalie Gascoigne, die Ende Oktober 2026 eröffnet wird, und verfasst die begleitende Publikation, die die Stimme der Künstlerin in den Vordergrund rückt.
