Choir Day - Newcastle Fringe
Overview
Choir Day at Newcastle Fringe is a joyful, soul-lifting celebration of voices, stories and community, filling the beautiful Hamilton Uniting Church with harmony from morning to evening.
This special one-day event brings together an extraordinary line-up of local, interstate and community choirs, each offering a distinct sound and spirit. Expect moving moments from Under Construction Mental Health Choir, whose performances celebrate connection and resilience, alongside the bold, joyful energy of the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Choir. Local favourites shine too, with the refined, award-winning beauty of Newcastle Chamber Choir, the powerful voices of Hunter Singers at the Fringe, and the much-loved Hunter Women of Note Chorus bringing warmth and depth to the day.
Adding colour and contrast are The Song Sisters – Voices at the Fringe Concert, led by Kim Sutherland OAM, and A Taste of History! Past to Pop! with the Callaghan Singers, taking audiences on a musical journey across time.
Whether you're a choir lover, a casual music fan or simply curious, Choir Day is an uplifting Fringe experience - rich in sound, heart and community. Come for the voices, stay for the goosebumps.
