Over eight decades, girl bands have harmonised, danced and fought their way into the collective consciousness. Using pop music as their weapon, girl bands paired Riot Grrrl energy with songwriting genius (and some marketing prowess) to put feminism and female empowerment into the mainstream. From the sweet harmonies of the '40s to the anthems of the '90s and beyond, girl bands have not just made music, they've made history. And now, four of Australia's powerhouse vocalists are bringing their stories to life in a show that's as empowering as it is entertaining.
