Newbridge is a small village located in the Blayney Shire, developed around its historic railway station, which was built in 1876. Notably, the Queen's Royal Train even stopped overnight during the Royal Visit of 1970. The Gladstone Hotel, dating back to the 1870s, offers classic pub meals and recently refurbished accommodations.

Newbridge boasts a growing arts scene, hosting various cultural and historical events throughout the year. Visitors can explore a craft shop, an art gallery, and artist studios, or enjoy the village's playground, tennis courts, picnic area with electric BBQs, and amenities. Free camping is available at the local sports ground.

Each midwinter, the village celebrates the winter solstice with a vibrant festival featuring a wickerman bonfire. This event includes performances by Viking fighters, dancers, circus performers, live music, jousting, artisan markets, and hearty winter food, all set in a picturesque historic village.
