Step inside the koala enclosure at The Byron Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, located in the beautiful Ballina hinterland, for a special private encounter with Arni, the resident male koala. Guided by one of the sanctuary's experienced mammal keepers, guests will discover what makes Arni so unique while learning more about koalas in the wild and how to help protect them.

This intimate experience offers a rare opportunity to connect with Arni and deepen one's understanding of these iconic Australian animals in a serene hinterland setting.

Age: Participants must be aged 5 years or older and supervised by an adult.
Limit: Maximum of two people per encounter.

Conditions:
In accordance with NSW law, it is illegal to hold koalas. For this reason — and for Arni's safety — guests are not permitted to touch or hold him.

Koala encounters are limited to one experience per day, and advance bookings are strongly recommended to secure availability. Please note that park entry is not included in the encounter price.
