NICA Youth Mountain Bike Race

NICA's inclusive youth mountain bike races offer participants the opportunity to experience and learn discipline, success, failure, and graceful defeat. Student athletes quickly learn that it takes a community to support both a successful racer and a successful event.

This race is an exhibition event designed to showcase what a NICA event looks and feels like. Student athletes are encouraged to participate, have fun, ask questions and not take things too seriously, with friendly NICA staff on hand to answer questions throughout the event.

NICA's core values of Fun, Inclusivity, Equity, Respect and Community are central to this event. Riders are encouraged to sign up, race with friends and learn more about NICA.

Racing is an individual, multi-lap cross-country (XC) format with mass starts, grouped by school year and gender. Results are based on finishing order within each category, with small prizes awarded accordingly. Maximum race time limits apply, and all riders are scored on their individual effort, regardless of the number of laps completed.
