Jodie is a proud Kamilaroi woman, born and raised on Awabakal land. She creates paintings that speak to the living, breathing connection between people, place and ancestry. Jodie's artworks are vibrant, layered and unique, sharing stories and experiences. Jodie's layered compositions combine traditional storytelling with contemporary aesthetics, shaped by a bright coastal-inspired palette and grounded in deep cultural memory.

Living Culture on Country is both a celebration, and a reminder, that culture is not static, but lived, shared and evolving.

Living Culture on Country is hosted by the Saltwater Freshwater Arts Alliance's The Gallery, a space dedicated to First Nations artist and creatives. This exhibition is an important showcase of storytelling through a contemporary Aboriginal lens.
