Dark Sky Festival - Lord Howe Island

Visitors are invited to experience the magic of pristine night skies at the Dark Sky Festival on Lord Howe Island.

Set against the backdrop of one of Australia's clearest and most unspoiled night skies, this immersive festival celebrates the island's exceptional nocturnal environment through a diverse range of unique experiences.

Attendees can take part in expert-led stargazing sessions or explore the art of capturing the cosmos in astrophotography workshops guided by professionals.

The program also includes a stargazing and yoga experience, as well as nocturnal walks with naturalist Ian Hutton, offering insights into the island's distinctive wildlife and volcanic terrain after dark.

Science talks will feature renowned experts such as Fred Watson and Marnie Ogg, who will delve into topics ranging from dark sky preservation to the mysteries of the universe.

Live music events will bring the community together in celebration under the stars.
