Scone Literary Festival Patrick White Oration

The Scone Literary Festival is delighted to announce the return of its flagship event, the Patrick White Oration, featuring award-winning investigative journalist Kate McClymont as guest speaker.

The Oration will unfold in the evening amid the quiet grandeur and striking surrounds of the Scone Race Club. Honouring the legacy of Patrick White, Australia's only Nobel Prize–winning author, the Oration brings a nationally recognised voice to the Upper Hunter to explore literature, culture and the ideas shaping contemporary Australia.
