Beyond Jazz Weekender: Two nights. Two vibes. One weekend of bold, contemporary jazz beyond the mainstream, in eco-certified Bellingen.

Friday: The Jazz Doof

Sydney's underground jazz-warehouse energy hits Bellingen. Haztet, Lux Trevis and Flux State bring spiritual jazz, psychedelic groove and hybrid electronic beats to a sweat-soaked dancefloor where improvisation meets club culture.

Saturday: The Jazz Social

A curated journey across global jazz styles — New Orleans brass, Ethio-jazz, ambient, electronic and funk-infused improvisation. Featuring William Street, Jeremy Rose's Infinity feat. Alexander Flood, Black Jesus Experience and a grand finale from Mastersonics vs Dance Makers Collective, with vinyl selections from DJ Peret von Sturmer and cabaret dance interludes from SULT Movement.

Enjoy tap beers poured by the glass, courtesy of Bellingen Brewery, cocktails, wines and non-alcoholic thirst quenchers from the bar, plus a delicious Asian street food menu from our kitchen, whisked up by The Thirsty Dumpling.

Together, a weekend celebrating adventurous musicianship, communal dancing and jazz as a living, joyfully physical artform.
