Artist of the Month – August: Rod Ellis

Creative Artisans Gallery is proud to present local artist Rod Ellis as its Artist of the Month for August.

With more than 40 years' experience in signwriting and graphic design, Rod has built a career centred on colour, composition and creativity. After working in Melbourne and Western Australia, he made Ballina home in the 1980s and has continued to develop his artistic practice ever since.

Working primarily in acrylics while also exploring oils, Rod is known for his versatile approach. Rather than focusing on a single style or subject, he paints whatever inspires him, creating a diverse collection of works that showcase his creativity and willingness to experiment.

Visitors can enjoy an exhibition featuring a variety of subjects, techniques and vibrant colours, alongside the work of more than 40 local artists and artisans displayed throughout the gallery.
