Join Outback Mike at Dungog High School MPC as the audience follows him on an incredible real expedition: building a dugout canoe by hand and paddling it 1,500km up the Great Barrier Reef coastline, facing weather, isolation and the unknown.
The documentary runs for 85 minutes followed by a 25-minute live talk and Q&A (M rating). And the actual dugout canoe will be on display!

All proceeds support the Wangat Youth Camp – July 2026. Thank you to Mike for generously donating the evening so all funds can go to the Wangat Lodge youth camp.
The camp helps young people build confidence, leadership and life skills through outdoor challenges, teamwork and real conversations about mental health — giving local youth positive direction and support.
