The area was named Wal Alexander Park to commemorate outstanding community service rendered by the late Wallace Sproule Alexander.
In his capacity as a justice of the peace, Mr Alexander was often, in earlier days, called upon to act as a magistrate and coroner.
Wal Alexander Park is situated on Green Street, Lockhart nearby to the Local Police Station with public toilets, a barbeque area and picnic area.
