Wright and Grainger's Selene - Pearces Creek
Overview
Experience a powerful reimagining of an ancient myth as internationally acclaimed storytellers Wright&Grainger present Selene at Pearces Creek Hall.
From the award-winning company behind Helios, Orpheus and The Gods The Gods The Gods, this evocative production explores the story of the moon through a deeply human lens. Blending myth, memory and personal transformation, Selene follows the journey of a young girl, a teenager and a young adult as they grapple with identity, belonging and the unseen forces that shape who we become.
Told with striking simplicity and emotional depth, the performance weaves together themes of light and darkness, self-discovery and the quiet pull of the worlds we orbit. Created by Alexander Wright and Phil Clive Grainger, and performed by Megan Drury, this intimate theatre experience invites audiences to reflect on the "wild stuff" within us all.
Set within the atmospheric surrounds of Pearces Creek Hall, this 75-minute performance (no interval) offers a rare opportunity to experience internationally celebrated storytelling in a local, community setting.
Guests are welcome to bring along snacks or a picnic (no alcohol permitted) and settle in for an evening of thought-provoking theatre.
