Nangus is a small country village located on the road between Wagga Wagga and Gundagai, on the northern side of the Murrumbidgee River. Situated in the Riverina region, Nangus lies approximately 24 kilometres west of Gundagai and, at the 2011 census, had a population of around 410 people including the surrounding area.

Rich in local history, the nearby Nangus Station and Yabtree Station are both heritage-listed. The historic Nangus Post Office first opened its doors on 1 July 1897 and continues to operate today.

Despite its small size, Nangus offers a range of community facilities including an Anglican church, general store with off-site liquor licence (Turkey Shed), public school, hall, fire station, petrol station, tennis courts, and hockey fields.

A visit to Nangus offers a chance to experience a relaxed country atmosphere—perfect for those travelling through the region or exploring nearby centres such as Wagga Wagga and Junee.
