Trundle Hotel

Located in the heart of Trundle, just 55 kilmetres northwest of Parkes, the Trundle Hotel is a historic country pub offering visitors a taste of traditional country hospitality and local heritage.

National Estate-listed, the hotel dates from 1912 and is renowned for its impressive 87.6-metre timber verandah, recognised as the longest in New South Wales. The hotel overlooks Forbes Street, which measures 60-66 metres wide and is recognised as the widest main street in New South Wales.

A hotel has stood on the site since 1888, with the current building constructed using pisé mud – compacted earth – and rendered with cement. This distinctive building technique features in other historic buildings throughout Trundle. Inside, pressed-metal ceilings add to the character and heritage of the hotel.

Visitors can enjoy a drink at the bar, settle in for a hearty counter meal or stay overnight in the newly refurbished accommodation. The Trundle Hotel provides a welcoming base for exploring Trundle and the surrounding Central West region.
