Overview
Acquist is an exciting free performance event under the Summer stars at Civic Park. This event is designed to inspire the Newcastle dance community. This captivating production weaves together the elements of water, weather, and shifting surfaces, merging them seamlessly with the dancers' bodies. At moments, the performers appear to walk on water, creating a striking and unforgettable visual experience.
This event will showcase contemporary dance performed by six outstanding professional dancers.
This event is made possible thanks to funding from The City of Newcastle.

Accessibility
A quiet space is available at the venue/ facility
Actively welcomes people with access needs.
Caters for people who use a wheelchair.
Caters for people with allergies and intolerances.
Caters for people with high support needs who travel with a support person
Caters for people with sufficient mobility to climb a few steps but who would benefit from fixtures to aid balance. (This includes people using walking frames and mobility aids)
Have a place to store medical equipment (eg oxygen)
Have accessibility information and photos, including of a bathroom, room and/or floor plan on your website (can be emailed on request)
Have at least one wheelchair accessible parking space with wheelchair accessible signage clearly displayed (International standards are 3200mm wide x 2500 mm high)
Have wheelchair accessible picnic tables (picnic tables require 720mm knee clearance and 800mm maximum height)
Train your staff in communicating with people with learning or behavioural challenges
Use Plain English / easy read signage and information (includes menus and emergency information)
Welcomes and assists people who have challenges with learning, communication, understanding and behaviour. (includes people with autism, intellectual disability, Down syndrome, acquired brain injury (ABI), dyslexia and dementia)
