Rotary Duck Race
Overview
Join the fun at the Rotary Duck Race held along the Richmond River at Captain Cook Park. This much-loved community celebration brings families, friends and local businesses together for a lively day by the water.
See hundreds of bright yellow ducks take to the river in a cheerful race to the finish line. Adding to the excitement is the always-popular Best Dressed Duck competition, along with corporate duck entries and a People's Choice award voted for on the day.
Beyond the racing action, the Rotary Duck Race offers a relaxed family fun day atmosphere with food stalls, games, live entertainment, music and plenty of activities to keep kids entertained. It's a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the riverside setting while supporting local community initiatives.
The Ballina Rotary Duck Race is proudly organised by the Rotary Club of Ballina-on-Richmond, with proceeds helping to fund Rotary projects and support community organisations across the region.
A colourful, joyful event that celebrates community spirit, creativity and connection — don't miss this Ballina favourite.
