Woodford Academy

This State heritage listed historic house museum is not to be missed.

Located on Dharug and Gundungurra Country in Woodford NSW, Woodford Academy is the oldest complex of colonial buildings in the mid Blue Mountains, with a multi-layered history stretching back to the 1830s.

The atmospheric sandstone buildings, heritage fixtures and collection take the visitor on a journey through time.

Visitors can step inside historic rooms, and hear engaging stories from knowledgeable guides of Woodford Academy's many people who lived in this roadside inn, guesthouse and boarding school.

They host monthly open days to the public and run artist and history talks on these days, as well as catering to exclusive experiences and programs. They welcome private tour groups and all schools-groups with all abilities.

They run bespoke twilight tours that include refreshments and a complimentary glass of wine. Hirers can also apply to book their venue for location shoots.

The highlight event of the year is their most Wuthering Heights Day Ever in July.
