Overview
The walk descends into a gully of grey myrtle rainforest featuring trees laden with mosses and lichens. Bright orange and white fungi glow in the cool shade and birds-nest ferns grow in the dense canopy. Wonga pigeons, lyrebirds, satin bowerbirds and crimson rosellas are regulars in the rainforest. The signposted trail is in the Bodalla State Forest and leads off from Box Cutting Road on the western side of the Princes Highway.
