Every path has a story, and the Nyambaga Walking Trail invites you to walk through thousands of years of culture, connection and coastal beauty. Winding through native bushland to the headland at Nambucca Heads, this thoughtfully designed interpretive trail blends art, storytelling and nature into an unforgettable experience.

Along the way, striking public artworks and interpretive installations bring Country to life, celebrating the enduring connection of the Baga-Baga Clan (Ocean People) of the Southern Gumbaynggirr Nation to this remarkable place. Created in collaboration with Gumbaynggirr Elders, local artists and the community, each artwork reflects the stories, language, wildlife and spirit of Nyambaga, encouraging visitors to pause, reflect and see the landscape through a deeper cultural lens.

Interpretive signs reveal the area's rich biocultural history, while the trail itself rewards walkers with sweeping views across the Pacific Ocean, the Nambucca River entrance and rugged coastline. Keep watch for dolphins riding the waves below, sea eagles soaring overhead and humpback whales during their annual migration.

More than a scenic walk, the Nyambaga Walking Trail is a journey through living culture—where every artwork, every viewpoint and every step offers a new perspective on one of the Nambucca Valley's most treasured coastal landscapes.
