Inside the Songhouse - Pillar Valley
Overview
'The Songhouse - Campfire Sessions' is what happens when the songs step off the formal stage and into the outdoors. There's a stage. There are lights. But the usual boundaries of a theatre show don't apply in the same way.
Award winning songwriter Dan Hannaford brings his 'Inside the Songhouse' experience to Tanamon Gallery, but the same songs are told a little differently.
The same material is there; the stories, the origins, the near misses, the ideas that didn't quite behave themselves on the way to becoming finished songs. But the delivery is less formal, and the pace is more flexible.
Sometimes it will feel like a show. Sometimes it will feel like a conversation happening to music. Most of the time it sits somewhere in between.
Either way, it's the same songwriter, the same songs, just in a different environment where things are allowed to breathe a little more.
Every campfire has its own personality. Every audience steers the conversation in a different direction. That's what makes these sessions special. No two are ever quite the same.
So bring a chair. Bring your drinks. Bring mates, dates and family. Bring that version of yourself that doesn't need a schedule for the evening.
**Overnight camping is available directly from the team at Tanamon
