Come and visit their Foundry Museum with original water carts, wagons, original one-way disc cultivator and other exciting tools used from over 100 years ago in the original building plus see the original paperwork from how the office use to work way back then.
Their company began here in 1893 by JT Close as a "Smithy", meeting the needs of a newly established community. JT's motto was 'quality', Inventing the 'one way disc cultivator' he was constantly designing, modifying and improving implements used in farming to make it easier.
JT & EN Close, five generations later is still working closely with the rural community; manufacturing, repairing and meeting the needs of local farmers, tradesmen and the community.
