Aussie Alpine Backyard Ultra

The Aussie Alpine Backyard Ultra is Australia's first alpine-style backyard ultra endurance event, set in the spectacular high-country landscape of Falls Creek, Victoria. Held over New Year's Eve, this unique event challenges participants to complete a 6.71 kilometre loop every hour on the hour through rugged alpine terrain with over 200 metres of elevation gain, continuing until only one runner remains – the last one standing.

Set against breathtaking mountain scenery at altitude, the event combines physical stamina, mental resilience and the camaraderie of ultra-running, making it a standout challenge for seasoned trail runners.
