Ungarie Murals and World Globe
Highlights
Overview
If you're passionate about war history and powerful visual storytelling, the Ungarie RSL Memorial Park is a must-visit. At the heart of the park stands a Giant World Globe, showcasing the global theatres of war where Ungarie's servicemen and women have served—from the conflicts of the 1890s to the present day. This striking feature highlights Ungarie's deep connection to Australia's military history.
Encircling the globe is an extraordinary series of wall murals, spanning over 60 metres. These murals vividly depict scenes from the Boer War, World War I, World War II, the Vietnam War, and the Iran conflict, with between 46 and 50 unique images capturing the essence of each era.
Both the Giant Globe and the murals were meticulously crafted by artist Simon White, whose work brings history to life with remarkable detail and emotion.
