Manildra Soilders Memorial Hall

The Manildra Soldiers Memorial Hall is a significant heritage building that serves as both a community venue and a war memorial. Constructed to honour local service members, it was officially opened on 26 April 1926, following the laying of its foundation stone by Sir Neville Howse on 11 November 1925.

Architecturally, the hall features a brick structure with a stuccoed exterior, Grecian pillars at the entrance, and stained-glass windows above the main doors. Inside, it houses the original First World War Roll of Honour and various memorabilia. The hall is equipped with a commercial kitchen, air conditioning, heating, and accessible facilities, making it suitable for a range of events, including community gatherings, performances, and workshops

Externally, the hall grounds include several commemorative features: a Second World War Honour Roll with bronze plaques, a memorial drinking fountain, and a black granite monument unveiled in 2006 to mark the 80th anniversary of the hall's opening. These elements collectively underscore the hall's role as a focal point for remembrance and community activities in Manildra.
