Girilambone Railway Station Museum
Overview
The Girilambone Railway Station Museum shares the story of the village's early copper-mining origins and its shift to a thriving rail community after the station opened in 1884. Once an important siding on the Bourke line, the station operated for over a century before closing in 1986. Following years of decline, the precinct is now being restored through NSW Government funding, with plans for a small museum, gallery and artist workshop, a café, and landscaped surrounds for free camping. it offers visitors an authentic insight into the region's rail and community heritage.
