The Northern Rivers Rail Trail

The Northern Rivers Rail Trail is a 25km long purpose built bike trail that winds through the Tweed hinterland from Wooyung to Murwillumbah, passing through the villages of Crabbes Creek, Mooball, Burringbar and Stokers Siding. It consists of a mixture of tarmac and compacted gravel, easy gradients and all with no cars!. It has many old railways bridges, including historic Mills Creek Bridge and Dunbible bridge and two tunnels, one of which is 524 m long with glow worms.

There is a variety of habitats along the route including open pasture, rainforest and cane fields. The majority of the trail is quite shaded due to the quantity of undergrowth over the years.
