Port Kembla Mentoring Sessions, Skate Jam and Signing

Join Totem Skateboarding and some of Australia's top skateboarders at Port Kembla Skatepark!

This is part of a recurring monthly event series, so if you can't make it this time, we'll be back again next month. These sessions are proudly funded by Big hART, who bring the Totem team to Port Kembla through the Skate of Mind project.

Come along for an afternoon celebrating skate culture, creativity and community, with mentoring sessions, skate demos and an open skate JAM at the park.

They're kicking things off with a Female Focused Mentoring Session, creating a supportive space for female skaters to build confidence, progress their skills and ride alongside inspiring members of the Totem team. Everyone is welcome to come down, support the session and be part of growing female skateboarding in the community.

Alongside the skating, there will be a Digital & Sound Sampling and Beat Making Workshop led by Joel Cameron Studios, giving young creatives the chance to experiment with music production and explore another side of DIY culture.

Throughout the day, participants can learn from experienced mentors, watch live skate demos and take part in the Skate JAM, where riders can challenge themselves on obstacles around the park and show what they've been working on.
