Wear something you love for how it makes you feel. It may be a formal garment that makes you feel confident, a comfy cardi that makes you feel relaxed and cosy, shoes that give you a certain edge, a piece of jewellery that makes you feel happy, a jaunty hat with attitude.
Gather on the Husky Pictures forecourt for a warm beverage and artisanal nibble.
Take a moment to tell us, in a few written words, how your chosen garment or accessory makes you feel. Go into the lucky draw to win a AUD50 Gift Voucher to spend in Artfulmind Pop-up Gallery/Shop at Huskisson Artisans Market.
Two local artists, Greer Taylor and Dr Natalie McDonagh—former dress makers with international careers—take a light-hearted look at the effects textiles and clothing have on us and our sense of who and how we are in the world.
The Dressmaker (2015) is a darkly comedic Australian drama directed by Jocelyn Moorhouse, follows Myrtle "Tilly" Dunnage (Kate Winslet), a glamorous, Paris-trained dressmaker who returns to her isolated, oppressive hometown to care for her ailing mother and seek revenge against those who exiled her.
Part of the Arts Muster Festival, Huskisson.
