Situated 8 kilometres from the village of Bredbo, Macenmist Black Truffles and Wines offers you the chance to explore the hidden delights of the Perigord black truffle. Come and join the team at Macenmist where you will be able to experience something exciting and unique. Frosty winter mornings herald the ripening of the underground truffles and visitors are encouraged to rug-up and venture out with the truffle dogs as they hunt for the elusive black gold.

Your journey starts as you trail truffle dogs Tawdiffu and SongLu, watching them display their amazing olfactory skills. Once the dogs discover a ripe truffle, the unearthing begins, enjoy the archaeological event and discover your own perception of the truffle smell.

After the hunt it's back to the truffle shed to warm up, sit back, relax and enjoy a leisurely three course truffle luncheon in rural surrounds.

It truly is a "paddock to plate" adventure!
