Queens of Song - Newcastle Fringe

Queens of Song brings together internationally acclaimed pianist Melissa Buchholz and award-winning vocalist Meg Kiddle, who first met at South Grafton High School and have since forged distinguished musical careers on stage and in the studio. Together, they have performed across Australia and internationally, delighting audiences with their artistry, storytelling, and passion for sharing music.
Individually, they boast more than 60 years of combined experience in professional performance, music education, and community engagement. Melissa has toured nationally and abroad as a concert pianist and chamber musician, while Meg has captivated audiences with her powerful voice across opera, cabaret, and contemporary music stages.
As Queens of Song, they pay tribute to the legendary singers who shaped the soundtrack of generations, from the golden era of Hollywood through to modern-day icons. Their shows have featured collaborations with community choirs, school ensembles, and local musicians, creating unforgettable opportunities for young performers to share the stage with seasoned professionals.
