Richmond River Scenic Walk

Situated along the scenic riverfront in Casino, New South Wales, Halstead Drive offers a picturesque walking route and outdoor recreational area along the banks of the Richmond River. Recently reopened to the public, this peaceful riverside pathway provides visitors and locals of all ages with sweeping water views, shaded picnic spots, and gentle walking paths through a thriving aquatic ecosystem.

The walk features direct viewing points over clear river rockpools, where visitors can watch local waterbirds and spy wild platypus in their natural habitat. A highlight of the route is the town's new suspension bridge, which forms part of the walking trail and provides excellent elevated views of the gentle river currents and surrounding landscape.
