'Bayikulinan' - Community Celebration

The unveiling of the Nikinpa Mosaic Public Artwork and the launch of the Aboriginal Community Development Plan.

Lake Macquarie City Council, in partnership with Nikinpa Aboriginal Family & Child Care Centre and Muloobinba Aboriginal Corporation, invites you to the unveiling of Wreath of Nikinpa.
This vibrant ceramic mosaic was created by the Nikinpa Aboriginal Women's Art Group with artist Holly McDonald.

They will also be officially launching 'Bayikulinan', Lake Macquarie City Council's Aboriginal Community Development Plan.

This dual celebration honours Aboriginal culture, creativity, and community connection across Lake Macquarie.

The event will include a morning tea and a participatory workshop for all attendees.

'Bayikulinan' means to act in the future. It is used as the title for the Aboriginal Community Plan developed by the Lake Macquarie City Council.
